12 Days of Christmas 2023

To celebrate the 12 Days of Christmas, we launched an exciting limited-time promotion. Each day, customers were treated to a unique gift, with riddles shared to add a playful twist and encourage engagement. The riddles invited everyone to guess the gift before it was revealed, creating a sense of anticipation. This festive fun was carried across all our platforms, including our website, social media, leaflets enclosed with orders, and video teasers.

The project required a distinctly festive touch, so I began by gathering inspiration from platforms like Pinterest, Behance, and Google Images. Once I settled on a direction—a modern take on classic Dickens—I focused on creating the logo as the centrepiece. For this, I selected Royal Signage, a font brimming with character and featuring a wealth of alternative glyphs, allowing me to customise it to perfectly suit the style.

To complement the traditional theme, I chose a colour palette designed to evoke a sense of childlike magic and nostalgia. While red and gold are classic festive colours and could risk feeling overused, I ensured the visuals remained vibrant and engaging by emphasising saturation and contrast.

Next, I needed a supporting font that balanced legibility with the theme's Victorian-inspired aesthetic. After careful consideration, I selected Carrig Pro—a serif font with a contemporary twist. Adjusting the weight and size for headings and body text allowed it to harmonise beautifully with the overall design.

To tie everything together, I decided that glittering snowflakes would be the most natural supporting elements. To avoid being clichéd, I opted to colour them gold rather than the traditional white, enhancing their magical appeal and adding a touch of elegance. Finally, a balanced composition was used to give the viewer a comfortable experience while being able to appreciate all elements at their leisure.
